Kids aged 7-13 are invited to enjoy a morning of learning about nature, as we present “Hiding in Plain Sight.” Students will learn that, in order to survive, wild animals must find food and avoid being eaten and that many adaptations help them accomplish these important tasks. They will learn about these many adaptations, including the most common: camouflage. Students will be doing a camouflage craft as well as a snack.
Please have participants bring a water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen and dress appropriately for the weather. Tennis shoes, no flip flops. Please meet at the Group Use Shelter. Due to liability issues, we must have at least one additional adult (besides our instructors) per 10 participants. We strongly encourage parents to sign up for a program to share in these interesting and fun learning experiences.
A program schedule and registration forms are available at the Makoshika State Park Visitor Center.
