This is NOT Hunter’s Safety but will help prepare your child for a future hunter safety course. Children will learn proper gun safety & gun handling, both at home and in the field. They will also learn shooting fundamentals and get to practice using these skills. The main portion of this program will run from January 8th - approximately February 19th or 26th (calendar not yet made). Children & parents can then decide if they’d like to be considered for possible State Teams which will go on to shoot at a State Sanctioned Match which is expected to be in Billings the last weekend of April (State is not a requirement, all basic fundamentals/safety is taught in first few weeks. Not all children interested in state teams will be selected.)

Registration for the Glendive Lead Devils Shooter Education Program will be Monday, December 5th from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Children must be 8 before January 1, 2023 and cannot turn 16 before April 1, 2023. Registration fees are $20/child. Any registration received after December 5th will be $40/child. Spots are very limited & this class has completely filled up in previous years. We will only accept a total of 40 children this year to maintain appropriate distancing. Children are required to attend Sunday AND Tuesday nights for first two weeks. We will then split into groups and ONLY attend Sunday or Tuesday. Preference on Sunday or Tuesday nights (once we break into groups) will be on a first come, first serve basis during registration. All materials are provided. The first class will be Sunday, January 8th. I'd like to stress there will be a late registration fee & quite likely no spots after registration date even available. Early registration will not be allowed except for unavoidable circumstances (I.E. working during registration time).
